How do you think Chaz Davies will fare in his first season of A.M.A racing?
For those of you who dont know who he is--used to ride lower budget 250 GP bike and got some good results--recon he knows a thing or two about setting his ride up--he'll win a few this season me thinks--learning the tracks will be his biggest obstacle?? whatyathink?

nice showing at Daytona, but I think it will take this season to learn the tracks. it is also hard to beat those factroy rides.

I seriously doubt he'll win any this year, but my guess is he'll probably be one of the top 3 true privatieers. So hopefully Yamaha will booth Jason D next year and pick up chaz, but my guess is that if he has a good season he may pick up a WSB or WSS ride next year.

Oh, I think he's probably one the most naturally talented in the AMA, but his equipment just isn't on par with the factory stuff and at that level, it's got to be at, or real close to it, to content for wins.

Isnt he on last years factory R6,not sure who was riding it last year--was it one of the Bostroms--Eric?
Do you know if Neil Hodgson was offered another ride before leaving the PU Ducati squad?---- if he was he should have taken it cause hes back over here with no ride this season--what do you think of him?

Been watchin AMA on motors t.v for 2 seasons and think its a great series to watch, interesting tracks,very close racing and with such an immense field of riders--watchin Maladin and Elbows dicing was awesome-some of the best riding ive ever seen-do you recon you'll be there racing one day?

I think Celtic did buy their bikes from Yamaha (or Graves), they should have a great program this year
I do think Chaz will do pretty well, not sure if I think he'll win races though
definitely somebody to look out for in the future
Neil was offered a few rides, he turned a couple down and a couple more "didn't work out"
sucks that he's out of a ride but he's better off not having a ride than taking a crappy ride and barely finishing top 10
that kinda thing is always gonna happen to some extent, there will always be more championship capable riders than there will be championship capable rides

Yes, Celtic did buy E-Boz's superstock bike from Graves. But I've heard it was without a few of the "special" factory componets... But Celtic is gettingn some back door help from Yamaha this year.
I'm a huge Hodgson fan. I still think he should've replaced lanzi on the factory WSB team... He'll be back next year.
I'd like to do a AMA FX class race at Road America sometime in the next few years, but I just can't afford it right now (I figured it out last year and I'd need a minium of about $2500 to do one AMA weekend). But I'm too old , too broke and too slow to do a full AMA season, and then theres that thorn in my side called my job...

Dont think Troy Bayliss would have taken it too well, mind you he crashed at Donnington this weekend and lost a finger dont know when he'll return--can only be good news for James Toseland,although he was getting the better of Troy at most of the races--JT- the mans on fire i thought Troy was an aggressive rider but JT is so strong,and as fit as a butchers dog--be going to moto gp next year with TenKate me thinks-very consistent
never looks like hes gonna crash!
Is Road America the track with a long uphill start/finish straight--real long with a fast right hander at the end?
P.S ive seen some of your pics- you dont look slow-great style
Dont know if youve raced an F4i--if you have can you give me any tips on setting up my suspension,it is stock--ive adjusted it to a track setting from Fast bikes mag its good but i hav'nt tried lowering the forks through the yokes--i know that will make it turn quicker and make it a little unstable at high speed --ive got no steering damper on bike yet,but if i did lower it---how much?
On track days i've started to wear through my fairing and Ti Akrap ex--guess i need to go to next level with suspension ie.. ohlins and fork re-valve/spring what do you recon?

Yep, Ah, Bayliss will be back for the next round... who needs a little finger anyway! JT's looking good this year, but so are Max and Haga, WSB is going to be a good one this year.
Yep, Road America is the one with the uphill to the start finish. The first turn isn't really as fast as it looks, but it's definitely not slow. It's a great track, one of the few in the US that rivals the European tracks you get to ride... I still want to experience getting airborne over the mountain at Caldwell Park before I die.
Sorry can't really help on suspension settings for an F4i as I've never raced one (I was still racing Ducati supersports before I switched to the RR), but I can tell you, first off, get it sprung for your weight and serviced (new seals, fluids and a good once over) that'll make the biggest difference. Second, don't be afraid to make changes to your suspension, but keep really good, detailed notes. It's really hard saying "try this setting, because everyone's riding styles are different and what suits one, won't even feel remotely right for the other. If you want to start dropping the front you can do it (I'd do 1mm at a time), but you'd would probably be better off raising the rear especially if you're already scraping your fairing. Better yet, going to the next level is a good choice, I've run both K-tech and Ohlins fork internals and prefer the K-tech but they're impossible to get here in the US... For a shock, Ohlins or Penske are what's typically used over here (I prefer the Ohlins but my 05 has a Penske, both are good).

Ive never ridden Cadwell,guess youve seen many pics of guys doing jumps--a mate of mine rode it and binned it badly on an RG 500 gamma, beat himself up real bad,its a very narrow track,would suit a 600 but on a thou i think you could get into trouble real quick, have done track daze at Donnington and Brands Hatch (full gp circuit) shame they dont do Moto Gp there as its only down the road from me,the run off areas are not quite large enough for FIM regs --mate has asked if i want to go to British superbikes this this weekend at Brands.
If your gonna do track day i would definately recommend Brands GP not indy circuit--costs a bit more but worth it,the back part of circuit is so fast and twisty,3 corners with short if you can call them straights with a blind uphill apex--if you get it right its just one huge,fkin long,fast bend--awesome
knee down 100+ mph! sorry getting carried away m8
If you get the chance do it--Cadwells got its jump but it pales in comparison with Brands GP(one of the best cicuits in world)
Guess im gonna have to upgrade my sus when i can afford it--ive heard good reports from cbrs with k-tech sus,TenKate were running with WP shock when Fabien Foret won world supersport champ in 01.
Dont know if youve seen it--but theres a picture of british rider Karl Harris doing a jump at Cadwell, man you'd think the guys on a crosser(loony)
