Actualy no. Not any idiot can go fast. Anyone can go fast once......lol If your head is not in it then you won't live to write about it. "So no not any idiot can go fast" It takes concentration skill and nerve. Remeber though the more you do it the more likely your number is going to come up because even the pros crash. Only thing you can do is try to stay off the gas and make sure you are wearing gear I stil don't have all of my gear so I realy try to stay off the gas for the most part at least :)

that all depends on what kind of fast you're trying to be.   let me say it like this:
any idiot can hold the throttle open in top gear until the engine just wont turn any faster. it doesnt take skill, or concentration, just nerve.

And like I said anyone notice I did not say any idiot ......anyone can do that once. What your saying is wrong period. This is a pointless conversation because they have to have some amount of skill to drive it in the first place. You have to be concentrating or you run off the road. Nerve is just a polite way of saying they have the balls to put thier life on the line cause wraped out thats just what your doing. And please do not refere to people as idiots just because you dissagree with what they might be doing.

There was a deal like that years ago about a guy that put a Video camera in his Testarosa
and was doing like 220, then was selling the videos online. The police paid
him a visit and cant remember exactly but I think he went to jail, and car was impounded.

Had a similiar experience with a bunch of guys I ride with. We stopped along our route to get a drink
(Water) and this guy pulls up in his car, starts talking to one of the guys, and ask how fast can this bike go.
My riding buddy says I have had it up to like 125, guy says wow that is really cool. After the pleasantries, the guy says BTW I am a
police officer in this area, be careful out there :)

I've had my bike at 171 on the speedo which isn't correct, of course, but it took like three miles.  It got to 160 quick but after that two more miles to get the 171...

i get what you're saying, but i wasnt really referring to him, or anyone as an idiot.  i'll whack the twisty grip open like anyone else.  i meant if you were to ever come across someone who was an idiot, lol

and as for the question at hand, my speedo says 176 @ redline in 6th, but... i have -1 +3 gearing and i know for a fact that 15krpm is just shy of 150 with that gearing, pretty big difference, lol.  i have had a speedohealer sitting in its box for the longest, i just need someone to kick me in the ass so i'll install it, lol.

I'm probably going to be laughed at for this but thats the one reason I have not changed sprockets cause I know it will lower my absolute top speed.:) By the way for the guy that was having problems doing a wheelie I tried it out the other day just to say I had done it. I did not use the clutch at all. I put it in first brought it to about 7 grand let go of the gas and before the nose was even finished coming down I gased it the front came up very easy in fact to fast I lets go of the gas and did it a few mor times each time going a little higher. It was fun and a girl started wahoooing. Not that I care I am married but it was fun to have people yelling cause they though what I was doing was cool. I think I will keep both tires on the ground though.Ps I have not tried this in second because I wanted to be going as slow as possible in case I screwd up. ppss first is trwitchy as Im sure ya know so be extra carefull
