New to the CBR market looking to get in to one soon. Not really going to race or anything, just to cruise around on and can get one for a pretty good deal(I think). Just looking to see what the good/bad is and if 18000 is alot of miles or not? Thanks in advance for any info.

CBR's are in my opinion the best and most lasting sportbikes out there on the road today. Honda builds great products, from cars to power plant and motorcycles. To answer your question on the miles I think that 18,000 miles is low and as for cheap its hard to find a cheap cbr unless you do what I did and that is build one from peices. It is fun and ebay comes in handy but the 900 is a little bit harder to find parts. Johnny

Thats very reasonable for a 99 and you can pick up a battery for 50.00 buck a tire for 100.00. I just bought the front and rear tires for under two hundred. Johnny

I paid $3000 for my '99 with 17k miles on it. Other than the Reg/Rec going bad on the way home and having to research more than usual for a front tire ( I commute 70 miles a day on mine so I needed more of a milage based tire ) the bike has been wonderfull.

Paid 3500 for mine with 12k on the odometer.  I freakin love mine.  Mine is just like the one in your post as far as color goes.....identical.  Bought mine with the front lower fairings painted in black also.  As a matter of fact, you can see mine in my avatar.

Miles are a bit high, but that really depends on riding location. But for the price, the miles are fine.
I paid $3300 for mine (96), with 13,XXX on it.

Cons ~ Uhmm... chicks always wanna ride; holding onto you with their arms and legs. Then they get all "hot and bothered" from the exhileration of the ride, and then next thing you know, you've got to take them out for breakfast. Damn that sucks.

great bikes, pretty easy to deal with, no major issues. The only thing I've ever not liked about mine is its not FI. Other than that, the black/eroin look is a great one, stand out in a crowd, not the typical gixxer or R1.
