^ You should use a new gasket, even if the old one looks good, you may have bent or put a small tear somewhere you dont see, and could cause a leak. The only exception being if its less then a week or 2 old and you have to go back in for some reason. Then i would say just clean the surfaces and re use.

i never knew that it was as simple to do as that. the inside of the engine has always scared the hell out of me.
