Just wondering who'z got the manta tank bag nd what you think about it. How well does the magnet hold? Is it pretty bulky or is it nice and flows with the tank?

Anyone with pics of one installed please post them.

Here is a picture of the silver and black manta on my F4i. There are four strong magnets in the flaps that hold the bag very securely. It flows with the shape of my tank and does not get in the way of the partial tuck position I usually ride in. I bought it to carry items that are too big for the trunk but not necessarily big enough for the bungee net. The main compartment can hold two of those 20 fl oz plastic soda bottles with some room to spare. I especially like the clear window in the cell phone pocket.

If you are interested I will sell you mine for $30 plus shipping. I have a bad habit of buying things that I THINK I will need but I really don't need so I've only used it once in the month or so I've had it and now the riding season is coming to an end for me.

I have the carry strap and rain cover so it is complete. BTW it is in perfect condition. Let me know if you are interested.

Could it be that you're using a magnet type bag on a plastic gas tank cover?

I was looking at these on ebay too.. it seemed that most of them after shipping, it was cheaper to go to joerocket.com and buy them.

Make sure you give us a review on it when you get one.

I have that same tank bag and it works great on the SV. It has been up to 125mph several times and never moves.
But its not going to work on the RR.

I got the manta bag for my 06 f4i and love it. You will never have a problem with it sliding or falling off, the magnets hold it secure. It is a great place to throw your hat, wallet, keys, and cell phone while you ride. It is a great 30-35 dollar accessory to have.

I bought my bag several months ago and I only use it for long rides. The best way to install the bag is by hooking one end of the strap to the front of the bag and then go around both forks. Then hooking the other end of the strap again to the front of the bag making it some what tighter. This way you won't lose the bag while riding. When riding it is a distraction to glance at the bag from time to time. Also, the tank bag leaves scratches on the tank cover. So, I usually have to wax that area a couple of times.

Another option if you don't like the magnet type tankbags as they may scatch your tank (I care) or flyaway on the freeway here check it out, it connects to your tankring that you have to buy seperate they make them for most bikes.
