Hey guys (and gals)...I'm scared .  I got my F.E. and now I am a big chicken about installing it (cutting things off).  The directions are marginal, and I am a complete moron when it comes to anything mechanical.  I can hardley pick my nose.  If anyone has some suggestions, tips, or "whatever you do, don't do this..." for me, I would appreciate your help.  I know a guy who would do it for me, but then I will feel like a loser .  Anyway, thanks in advance.

Yeah, City...I want to get ride of the huge ass-tumor on the back of the bike.  It works as an air break...I should be able to get less drag and gain 2-3 hp .

Thanks Zippee, ol' pal.  I guess you could have  just busted my chops (still can).  I guess the main thing I was concerned about was the cutting part.  I figured it was probably pretty easy if I just got started as far as mounting the brackets, and unpluging and pluging wire harnesses in.

voodoo'  Don't worry about it!!!   I didn't cut anything but trimmed a little off so the rivet on the hinge  bracket assembly would fit flush!!   It comes with nice directions & template.   I thought it would be a pain but its not bad.

Whats the arse end of the bike look like. You have to cut the fender off correct???  I would use a dremel. Use about 2 layers of masking tape and about 3 layers of duct tape on top of that to seperate the sut of point to give you a visual and hold the other part for sharding off. Then you can smooth it out. Not sure how the CFE looks on the F4is or exactly what the process is but I believe ^^ is a easy way to do it.
