i took the airbox off and went through the top, use the tool that came in your tool kit to remove the plugs. took me around an hour to change mine. the sparkplug placement is one of my few complaints with the 929. good luck

The best way is to go behind that top frame rail. Use a 3/8 u-joint with a 2" extension. It's a bitch, but it works.

after you get the plugs loose, go buy some fuel hose about 1/8" inside diameter.....u can use this to push down on top of the plugs and pull them out and get them started w/the new ones......i found it to work great....

I went up from the top and use a very long extension with a swivel.

I have a beef with the uneven swingarm and no threads from factory for spools. still havent figured out how I'm going to take care of that.

954 swingarm conversion. the 954 swingarm is still uneven but it does take spools and imo looks better

Thank you. Where did you end up getting the insterts? Since Lockhart Phillips changed their website I couldn't find where to order them.

I got them from accessory warehouse who carries LP stuff. the spools were easy to find but I had to do a part number search for the insert. I'll let you know how it turns out. thanks again.

Hi Everybody, i'm new here, i'm french canadian from montreal, so sorry for my poor english.

I recently buy a 2001 929 and i have to change sparkplugs

On the service book there said to get off the sparkplugs bye the front, under the radiator.
Its seem difficult to go this way so i prefer to get off the gaz tank and the filter box to get them access but a friend of me have a cbr 954 and said if i remove the air box, i will have to ''recalibrate'' something about the ''servo moteur''

So whit this warning, i juste dont now wich way is the best

could you help me please

i went through the top and removed the airbox to get to the sparkplugs and didnt do any recalibration. just remember where everything goes and you shouldnt have any problems.
