try changing the plugs they are probably fouled out. if they are fouled it is for a reason though and without correcting the root problem it will just keep happening. probably running too rich, smaller jets will fix that. hope that helps. p.s. hope you get it fixed, it deserves to run as good as it looks. p.s.s. denso iridiums are expensive, but they are the shiznit.

Ya I think I'm going to take the time tonite and try to get the airbox out and a plug or two out so I can at least see what was in there and stick some new ones in.  God I should have tried to run the tank empty b4 this!  haha

Ok guys two things, one how the heck do I get to the plugs?  I tried to get to them with the normal "long" craftsman extension and that's a no go, seems to long to get in there.

And onto the second thing.  I pulled the spark plug boot off and figured I'd check for spark so I left it off laying against the header and tried to start the bike.  No spark out of the boot?  Now shouldnt there be spark there or am I just thinking car stuff here?

you won't see a spark, the the boot won't let it ground. use the shorter extention.  if necessary, only put the ratchet half way on the extension. also put a dab of anti-seaze on the threads of the new plugs.

Ok so an update.  Pulled all the plugs out and they were all completely black and just smelled horribley of fuel.  So put a new set in and took it to the bike shop.  Well it sat there, apparently, for over a week until they finally even tried to touch it and then i got a call saying it wont even start.  Not even try just crank and I should pick it up cause they dont have time to mess with it.  So angry that nite I went with a buddy and trailor to pick it up. Came home and within 5 mins of looking noticed the wire going to the air shifter micro switch must have been knocked off.  Re-attached it and bam the bike fired right up.  Ran for a few mins, once it started to warm up the idle dropped off more and more until it finally just died.  So thinking the plugs will solve the warm hard start since they were garbage and now I just need to find a place to get it rejetted and tuned?
