You bet it's a re-post, but a good one   Much better than the re-posts that pop up for tires and exhausts every other day

Good lookin' out... that manual comes in handy.

Oh you can never get tired of tires and exhaust posts.  :)  Not everyone has been on this forum as long, and there are people who still need advice. As boring as you think they are, these posts do help out some people. Not to mention that I got my new Michelin Pilots mounted and I ride with Two Bros.:)

From what I know, there have not been many changes. But it doesnt hurt to have it in your possession. Knowledge is power.

It's good for 2001-2006.......the only changes were just the cosmetics & subframe in the rear on the 2004-2006 models (banana seat).....everything else is the same

Well the subframes, undertail, seats, rear cowl/plastic, battery tray/trunk, rear passenger pegs/brackets, and all that stuff are totally different on the 2004-2006.....that's all.  The screw/bolt holes are in different places since it has different parts connected on the subframe.

They're totally compatible and could be swapped (most guys that own 2004-2006 swap to the dual seat set up of the 2001-2003 bikes).  If you took a complete subframe assembly (like circled below) and swapped it to a different year....it'd bolt right up.

Just that whole rear end is different because the 2001-2003 had split seats & the 2004-2006 had a single (banana) seat......I circled what I meant:
