anyone replaced the CCT for a manual tensioner?  how difficult was the install?  and did you need any gaskets?

You need to replace the gasket that goes under the tensioner (to quote parts list its the Cam Chain Tensioner Adjuster gasket)... there are APE's out there or if you're feeling creative you can drill out the stock one, tap and thread a bolt through w/ 2 nuts and then weld a polished carriage bolt head to the end (thats essentially what the commerical one is anyway). I'm experimenting w/ this on my bike atm (trying to get a friend w/ some tools to make mine, as the replaced stock one appears to do nothing for the cam noise on my bike).

Just got mine done. There is a whole post about it in "General Tech". It was simple enough to do, but hard to get to. And yes you need a new gasket.

I was wrong on how long it would take and on what you have to take off, but there you go.

I just scan the pages as people ask.
Nope my cct is fine still, doesn't really float and I haven't had the issue most people have had with it.(knock on wood)

I did it last year, it was simple.  Just a few tools, but I did have to stand on my head to get the bolts in and out.
