ORIGINAL: axsys could someone explain better how this actually works? i know how to do it, but it seems like the light would just stay on all the time since its constantly getting a +12v from the running lights....... anyone know why the +12v from the turn signal lead makes the light turn off? thanks. I believe once you turn the signal on, the relay cuts the power from the running light wire. (my theory anyway) well, that comment just helped me realize how it works. i just checked out my bike somemore, and that is what it does. the running lights give it a constant 12 volts. then, as soon as you turn the turn signal on, it completely cuts the running light until you press the turn signal switch to stop the signal. then, the turn signal relay just does its job of turning the light on and off. thanks for helping me realize that!
