hi guys,

I wonder if anyone else here rides a Honda CBR 150R?
personally I ride one, a 2007 red version, completely built-up bike from Thailand. a really nice bike for everyday commuting, especially for me to go to school everyday...
FYI, I live in Jakarta, Indonesia.

here's some pics of my bike:

OK, nice product placement. If it were a choice between a moped/Spree/or your bike, I'd pick yours.

Single cylinder, 4 stroke?

I bet that little thing will get it in tight situations. Fun little ride for sure.

dhaninugraha -> RE: Honda CBR 150R, anyone? (5/23/2007 5:42:20 PM)

yup, it's got a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC 4-valve, 150cc engine. pumps out 21bhp, and tops around 100mph on stock condition... replace the CDI with a non-limiter unit, replace the stock carb with a Keihin PE28, get a good free-flowing exhaust system, and it touches 110-115mph easily ;)

AK47 -> RE: Honda CBR 150R, anyone? (6/7/2007 8:24:05 AM)

I think i want one to mess around with... what do they cost? and where can I get one?

dhaninugraha -> RE: Honda CBR 150R, anyone? (11/13/2007 2:46:27 AM)

the bike costs around US$3000 brand new here in Indonesia... it's manufactured in Thailand, and imported to my country via private importers...

dhaninugraha -> RE: Honda CBR 150R, anyone? (11/13/2007 2:55:13 AM)

damn, it's been reeeeeeeaaally long since I last visited this forum... been busy with school graduation, preparing for college, etc etc...

I've made some progress in modding my bike...

changes include:
*custom-made graphics
*DBS Titanium muffler
*Shindengen Step 1 CDI unit
*Bridgestone Battlax BT45 120/80-17 rear tire, front (still) remains stock
*removed the rear footpegs
*removed the rear seat & tucked in a seat-cowl on its place
*racing footpegs
*aftermarket windshield

here's the pic:

future upgrade plans include:
*porting & polishing the intake & exhaust ports
*aftermarket camshafts (still looking for streetable ones)
*Keihin PE28 carburetor
*transmission upgrades (clutch, gearing, etc)
*bigger brakes & stainless-steel braided lines
*swap stock swingarm with NSR 150SP's Pro-Arm unit

cheers :D

That is a sweet looking little bike.  it sits up a bit to high for me and the skinny tires kinda kill the look, but over all it's sweet!  I like seeing differant stuff.  Any way you slice it it's a Honda so it's all good.

indeed, the tires are pretty skinny, mine's only got 80/90-17 front and 120/80-17 rear... put on anything bigger and they'll get stuck in the fender (front) or hit the swingarm rear), hehehe :P

thanks anyway! :D

I bet the gas mileage on that is hard to beat. Looks good. I'd own one.

yep, even with Keihin PE28 carb now (stock was 26mm vaccuum Keihin), I can still get 58-60 mpg... :D

with totally stock configuration, you can go as low as 92-94 mpg... ;)

Cool man... You are really into it.

I bet with all those mods you could have purchased a bigger bike...lol

I'd reeeaaaaally like to move on to a bigger bike; I've always wanted a used '03 600RR...

but considering the traffic here (my town's traffic would definitely redefine the phrase "traffic jam"), the bumpy roads, high rate of motorbike theft, fuel economy, etc etc... I guess the 600 wouldn't be coming any soon... hehehehe =p

dinez74 -> RE: Honda CBR 150R, anyone? (11/27/2007 6:51:53 PM)

Oh yeah...... tell me about your place traffic. One of the worst traffic I had been too. I agree with you too that the roads there are not soo nice either.
