Does anyone know how to add a sound system to a 2005 CBR1000RR?

its not that hard but more of a headache then anything. easiest way is buy an ipod and some compatible speakers. mount the speakers plug in the ipod and your good to go. if you really want to wire in a cd player, and component speakers its a lil bit more in dpeth but common sense will tell you how to do it. and if you dont have any previous stereo installation experience you probably shouldnt do this yourself.

i have to ask though, why would you want a stereo system on your bike? get an ipod if anything or get a goldwing

Hate to agree but not something you see often, i would go with the ipod, i use mine on long trips and works fine, you can look around and find a backpack with a ipod holder and cord hole, mine works great like that.

Or you could just buy a magnetic tank bag with an amplifier and speakers built into it, I just saw one go for about 85 dollars on e-bay. Search for magnetic tank bags. You have the option of hooking anything up to it ie: ipod, cdplayer, walkman etc.....etc.....

Its been asked before, but WHY? Doesn't the bike sound good enough.

Use an ipod or any other MP3 player, put it in your jacket in the inside pocket and run the earphones up through the jacket and inside your lid. Saves a couple of quid on ear plugs too.

Quick thinker for you all tho. Wouldn't you like to be able to hear the cars or bikes trying to overtake as you are? Remember some other riders and drivers are impatient idiots!!! It has happened before.

Go to CircuitCity and pay 199 bucks for the Mio C310x GPS/MP3 player. It's touch screen and looks great mounted on my RR. I put a 4 gig SD in it and it sounds great through any earbud headphones. Wanna play a diff song, reach out and touch it....
