ORIGINAL: wxgsr77 All I did for the rear sets and foot pegs was get some high temp grill paint, spray a few coats, and then bake them in the oven. It's a cheap alternative until this winter when I'll get them all powder-coated along with the swing arm. What temp did you put to bake the rearsets? Also, how long? Nice job bro!

vspriderz, I baked the parts at about 300 for about 20 min. I could not bake all of them since a lot of them had rubber pieces on them. The ones I was not able to cook I just let dry overnight in the garage with the heat on to try to chase any moisture away (I live on the Gulf Coast) Good luck with yours!

The rearsets have springs on them, did you take them off or did you paint over them as well? Thanks for your help bro!

I just painted over the springs, did not seem to hurt them any.

COOL looking bike. I like the tape on the wheels. I was thinking of doing that to mine, how hard was it to do? Did you do it with the wheels on the bike? Is it hard to keep it straight so it stays perfectly circular? thanks

The wheel tape was a bit of a b!tch. I used my frame stands and put it on. I used the 'reflective' method (set up some shop lights and use the glare to mark the line) and it worked alright. they are not perfect, but only I would notice since I see all the flaws. It is a bit tough but well worth it, just don't rush. Tapeworks tape comes with some great instructions.
