I replaced the fork oil seals and dust caps because fluid was leaking. I know I did the work correctly and followed the directions in my clymer manual. They were find for about 500 miles and now when I ride and get off the bike, I can see the top point where the forks depressed (dust ring on the tube) and I can see the fluid sliding down. When I did the repair I did not see any damage on any of the parts as the manual said to check for. I did hit a couple mild pot holes, nothing to worry me at all. What should I do? just replace the oil seals again? The manual said you could use ATF as the fork oil which I did, maybe this is too thin of an oil?

I pulled up the dust caps and NO fluid is sitting in that 1/2" area around the snap ring. maybe the atf I used just gets too THIN in the Arizona heat? Has anyone else ever had this problem?

I am having this problem right now... what happened with yours? mine has only been 30 miles or so :( I had the oil a little low in mine, would that have any effect?
