Afer how many miles should a CCT be replaced? I dont have a manual yet so I dont know if thats something that needs maintenence every once in a while or not. Im pretty new to the mechanics of bikes.

Anyone know what is the advantage of the automatic CCT? I know that it makes annoying noises and generally everyone wants to replace it with a manual one, but what are the benefits of having the automatic CCT to begin with? I just want to know what I would lose by going with a manual CCT after replacement. Thanks.

The cct isnt a wear item that is supposed to be replaced periodically, it is just that Honda cannot figure out how to make one that isnt crappy. It goes bad on nearly every f4i eventually, and when it does it makes a high pitched grinding noise. The automatic cct isnt supposed to make noise if it is operating properly. The reason I am going with a genuine Honda cct (automatic) is because I know it will fit/install perfectly and there is no chance that I will over tighten it. Installation is just bolt in, remove the retaining clip, and screw in retaining screw. The manual one you have to dick with to set it just right. If the new one goes bad I will probably get a manual one, however.
