Well I'm going to get another bike... either a used '05/'06 600rr or 1000rr. Not sure what I want though. I want the crazy power of the 1000 but i dont want the insurance and extra cost of the 1000. I want to kick my friends asses on their 600's. I love to screw around and pull some wheelies some times. Are the 1000s kinda crazy to pull wheelies on because they are alot more power. I'm used to doing them on 600s. If anyone has an opinion let me hear it. I need to figure out what i want soon.

If you get the 1000, you will not feel the need to upgrade anytime soon! You might with the 600.

I have heard of some good insurance quotes even with the 1000. Shop around!

Quid?? ^ crazy british

It's something you'll have to decide. I came from a 600 up to an '07 1000RR and it's a crazy big difference. More power, huge torque, wider, heavier, a handful overall. Two completely different bikes. The 1000 corners very well, don't get me wrong, but it requires a lot more effort to throw around.

I don't know about the 600 CBR, but as far as the 1000 goes, it was designed NOT to be wheelie proned. If you're interested in doing wheelies, I believe there are better tools for the job.

I'm just speculating that's it's harder to throw off a curve...I'm not planning on testing it out....goes and knocks on wood...

Yea i should of known what kind of response I would get in the 1000rr message board.. lol. Yea thats a little to expensive for my blood. I really think of going with the 600rr... pretty much because it is cheaper and the economy isn't the best right now in Michigan. Maybe the bike after this I will upgrade to bigger. Thanks for all the great info guys.

HEY TRANS AM, IF YOU DECIDE TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE, I JUST BOUGHT MY 06' 1000RR  FOR $8200 BRAND NEW, NO MILES.DEALERS ARE OVER STOCKED RIGHT NOW WITH 06'S. DONT SETTLE FOR STICKER THERE IS BIG MOVEMENT IN PRCE IF YOU TRY. I'VE ONLY BEEN RIDING FOR 2 YRS NOW AND MY FIRST BIKE WAS A SUZUKI 500, QUITE A STEP UP, BUT  THE 1000RR IS A VERY COMFORTABLE BIKE. I HAD NO PROBLEM GETTING USED TO THE EXTRA WEIGHT. PLUS THE TORQUE IS CRAZY FUN!!!

RIDE FAST, RIDE HARD!!!

Get the liter bike.  600s are cool but 1000s are better.  Bigger more room and faster.

are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!
im not disowning my own bike but i would have loved to have gotten a 600rr instead of my 1000. granted the 1000 is faster in a straight line, but the 600 will run circles around its bigger brother in the corners and if you really know how to ride a 600 class sportbike then you know full and well that you can never out ride it so yeah i have to disagree with you there.....
