AZ - Twistie Ride - 4/20/2007 11:32:18 PM    Analog Posts: 108 Joined: 3/29/2007 From: Phoenix, AZ Status: offline Alright, so I admit that before I started riding in AZ, I never really payed attention to the roads.  Where are some good places to go for twisties?  I shot out to Canyon Lake which was cool--but didn't go early enough, so I got stuck behind some traffic doing about 10mph. RE: AZ - Twistie Ride - 5/3/2007 12:24:29 PM    BrianAZ   Posts: 176 Joined: 5/9/2006 Status: offline Yarnell is a fun hill, but it's a long booooooring ride until you get there.  Especially once you get on 93, there is lots of traffic and no real places to pass.  89 is a nice highway, but it's pretty booring until you get to Yarnell hill.  Then, you have to worry about DPS sitting up on the mountain and watching the bikes run the switchbacks.  A few weeks ago, a group of us were running up the hill, came around a corner and there was a DPS officer standing by his car at the side of the road waving people over.  After Yarnell, 89 also has some really great twistys and scenery all the way to Prescott. _____________________________ 2006 F4i Candy Blue Yosh slip on exhaust HVMP Bar Ends Zero Gravity Double Bubble CW Fender Eliminator Proton Flushmounts www.briandownerphotography.com (in reply to ztemhead) Post #: 6

The last 40 miles were fat daddy. We got low, bus. Had a nice lunch in Prescott and then back to Phoenix where I sweated my ass off the last hour back home. _____________________________ Soldiers complaining of short rations can report to their NKVD officer for nine grams of lead.
