It felt OK, but I only went once around the neighborhood in 2nd gear....

I have a cast on my left hand (severed the tendon in my thumb ) so Every time I reached for the clutch my thumb kept hitting the horn button

Once the cast is off and I am done therapy I will give you an update

Not bad work for one guy with no thumb hu?

I took a bunch of photos of the swingarm swap, so I will write up a nice how to on it

Nothing happened, I just can't stop myself from tinkering with everything I own

My wife says that no matter what I buy, it's all just a blank canvas to me

I think she is right

Now I need to think about what I want to do next, it might be 6 pot front calipers for the F4i and then switch back to tinkering with the Mustang for a bit

Lookin good man. What are the advantages of the RR swing arm? and how hard was it to do? Im lookin to redo my F4i into a little hondastein monster as well. Im kinda into the stunt scene tho (dont hate) so I dunno if an RR swing arm has any point to it for me.

I did it because I can’t stop myself from tinkering with everything I own

It’s 1.5” longer, looks better, has a good looking hugger stock (F4I huggers are UGLY and I will not run one of those) It’s also a stiffer swingarm and already has bobbin or slider mounds from the factory (F4i I would have to drill the swingarm) and I guess just to be different.

My wife says it don’t matter what I buy, everything is a blank canvas to me…and she’s right.

I either need to make something better, faster, or try to make it look different from everyone else that might have bought the same one…I can’t help it

Fair play, just wish i had the time and space to do things like that.
Really am interested in that rear end on your bike. Personally think that the F4i was let down by them well shall we say 'different' rear lights.

the extended swing arm wouldn't be good for the stunting mang...
let me recommend that you should now start tinkering with 954 front end conversion! at the very least, the forks and there would be your brake swap as well!

A little bird told me that the 6 pot front calipers from a 2002 GSXR1000 will bolt right on to the F4i forks
