IDK bout fittment but damn i just saw the 07 R6 tail in person.  Yamaha definatley got that part right.  Check one out and see how close they would be.. Actualy the R1 may be bigger yet and look similar.

The GSXR tail fits, seen a couple people do it.. not the newer style tails, but like 2002 i believe.  I want to make a custom tail for mine also..just waiting mostly on the money to do it.  I'm thinking of using a 2003-04 ZX636 tail light assembly. The rest would be custom but resemble newer style tails.

If anyone is interested in buying a tail like this from me and or  can change my mind on the tail light because you want a different tail light.. let me know.  I'll make you a two-off carbon fiber tail or fiberglass.  the price would help me offset my cost to build the mold for them.  I do this professionally.

yeah, that is Sime's bike.  It's a 95, 900rr with updated body and a gsxr tail.  He has great attention to detail.

OK this is old but

I recently made a tail section to fit the 93-99 900...
It uses the stock parts, except for tail light....and the same storage...and a under tail...

I might make a few of them if I thought I could sell them.

contact me if your interested....
