Howdy, I have a chromed reflective visor for my Vega helmet and from my experiance over a year, its not something you want at night. During the early morning when the sun is coming up, daytime, and evening its fine, But when the sun starts setting you lose a lot of visibilty fast. I recently did a 3 hr run, and when me and my friend left it was great. But on the return trip by the time 8pm came around I was really regreting not taking my clear visor with me. By the time night hits, you have to pull the visor up to see where your going outside the immediate headlight area. Hope this helps your decision.

I've never used a chrome visor, but you might think about iridium it's not too dark at night. Clear is still the best way to go.
