I see all of these stories of frame sliders saving the day....Do they actually protect your plastics? Cause i can't visualize how that little thing can hit first before your mirrors plastics pegs etc.?

pegs and mirrors fold. you still sometimes get scuffs on the plastic but most of these stories are zero mph tipovers. at speed, thats another story. oh and turnsignals usually take quite a hit too.

yah they help my friend's sliders are like erasers they are all chewed up he still wont get new ones... lol

ok well i havent had anything happen to me on my bike (knock on wood) but on my TRX 400EX 4-wheeler is a different story.  so me any 2 other of my boys were riding some back roads i was riding in front and coming up to a stop sign and i had just learned how to pull a good stoppie so i did, and it was a REAL good one from what my friends said, till some railroad tracks came up and the road slopped down and it ended up on top of me.  i was laughing the whole time, but to make it worse, there was a truck with an older couple turning on the road and seen all this happen the guy stopped and flipped it off of me and had a scared look on his face and kept asking if i was ok. the whole time im laughing trying not to let my embarrassment show....needless to say my frineds were just laughing there a$$e$ off at me

this stuff happens to every one. once we get too comfortable that when all these mistakes start to happen.
well my story is mad embarrasing. i was about to race my friend; so we are at a red light and as soon the light turns green i slam on the throttle and drop the clutch. however, i noticed the my friends is half a block up and im still standing. well, it turned out that i forgot to go into gear before the race began. the a guy in the car behind me was shaking his head at me.
btw, this was in my second year of riding.

also, my jeans get caught on the pegs very often so i always have my feet down at least 5 seconds before a full stop. i came close a bunch of times almost dropping the bike like that.

we were out riding a few weeks back and a friend of mine is kinda new to riding on the street..we are drag racers but i have been riding  for years on the street  so anyways he is on his zx6 and im on my new 600rr  i had just installed the hotbodies exhaust and tail  so its loud  and were at the light so i reved it a couple times at him   but i always have my clutch in  so he is in neutral so he thinks  and he starts reving his almost to rev limiter and then all the sudden SLAM  it goes into gear cause he has his foot on the shifter and the bike looked like a helicopter trying to take off...it was the funniest thing i had ever seen.he wasnt hurt other than  crushing his ego

I guess I can throw a fall over story in here. This was probable a month and a half after I bought my '06 RR. Maybe a 2 weeks before this happend I had just installed some Extended Frame Sliders. I ride to work, noone was there so I was just sitting on my bike for a couple minutes( I usually will do that with the kiskstand down and plant both my feet on the rearsets), but I go to get off my bike and let go, the bike starts falling, I try to grab it but the momentum overpowered me and it landed right on the slider, and nothing else. I was so damn happy, put the bike back up, and thank god noone saw me, felt like such a dumbass. But ya, that was that bikes first fall.

my most embarassing moment ever and i hope this has happened to other people is about a month after i got my bike. i was of course feeling like a badass and i was riding around town and i pulled up next to some hot young ladies. well i thought i would rev at them and show off and take off real fast when the light turned green. so i'm sitting there and the light turns green and i go to take off and i just rev the piss out of my bike and im not going anywhere. then i look down and see that im in neutral so i kick it into gear and pull off. i felt like a dumbass but the girls were lovin my 12oclock wheelies after i caught back up. ok the last part is fake i cant ride 12oclock wheelies.

I've gotten my shoelaces stuck before...I now tuck my left shoelaces into the bottom lace (looks stupid but it does the trick).

One time I was approaching a yellow [arrow] light to make a left hand turn.  There were 2 lanes going my direction so I figured one of the 2 cars would go thru the yellow light so I kinda got ready to swerve into whichever lane was gonna go thru...well you guessed it...they both stopped and i didnt have any time to stop so i squeezed inbetween them and hit my knee on one of the cars and had to run the red light pretty bad...it was so embarrassing I just got the f outta there...thank God I didn't drop the bike!

the most embarrasing thing that happened to me was when i was living in Florida, had a 98 Smokin Joe's F3....just moved in to a brand new apartment complex, a buddy and me were movin all my stuff in...I was in college and there were tons of hotties movin in the same complex i was, 2 happened to be right next door...after we introduced ourselves, somehow the topic of bikes came up, and of course they love sportbikes..go figure..so after we were done, we went and got our bikes, pulled back up to the apt and parked em out front.....went over to the girls house, knocked on the door, and while we were all standing there talking one of the girls screams...my friend and i turn to look and see both of our bikes on the way down....WTF....yea, well, Florida + Summertime = 100 degree heat, new apartment complex also means new F'n asphalt in the parking lot.... it was hot enough, and the lot was new enough that the weight of our bikes on the side stand basically just caused them to sank in to the fresh parkling lot, once they got low enough..woop..over it went...dammit...they laughed, and constantly reminded us each time they caught us pulling in....but we scored anyway!!

Another time i was at my local bike shop, and all the guys were all worked up because this girl was buying a brand new ZX 9r..all the guys kept telling her to get the 6 but she was one of those "your only saying that cause i am a girl" and she was rather rude and b$#@hy about it too.....well sure enough she buys the 9....rides it off the lot and dumps it in the middle of the sreet right in front of the shop..bwahahahahahaha.....and to top it all off, all the guys that she was just a jerk too she had to have help her lift it out of the middle of the road...bwahahahhaha again...

I just got my new sidi boots was trying to get comfortable with them so took my bike for a ride.  I was finding it difficult to put the side stand down while sitting on the bike with these boots but noone saw that. I could just look down and then push it. I almost fell over when the heel of my boot hit the peg while I was trying to get my foot down at the stop light but just managed to get the foot free and save the bike. But, the embarassing moments I have had are the same one a few times. When I got the bike I was playing around with the clutch lever constantly adjusting it to suite me and often I would take it too far or too tight and would stall on the stop light when it turned green..............thankfully I haven't done that in a while now.
