Last Sunday had a bad accident with my bike. Only now I have enough energies to get here to spk about it.

Basically what happened is that I was driving on a 2 lane road when a car on my right comes out of a side street totally ignoring the stop sign and drives into my lane. He squashes me against a rubble wall to my left but i still keep control of the bike until finally he hits the side of my fairing with his bumper. The bikes hits a stone which had the shape of a ramp and it literally launches into the air - according to my friend it flew more than a storey into the air. The bike slams me on the other side of the road and then into a wall. The bike flies on the other side of the road.

The funny thing is that I dont remember ANYTHING. I have a complete amnesia to 1 hour before and 6 hours after the accident. I only know what happened cos my friends driving behind me told me about it. After the accident it seems like I woke up on my own removed jacket and helmet and sat next to my bike. Apparently i was completely confused and wasnt recognising anyone and couldnt figure out where i was. I dont remember being taking to hospital on ambulance, nothing at all. Life seems to have started again after 5 hours when i was in my cubicle in hospital.

Injuries
CT brain came out normal
Fractured clavicle and shoulder blade
fractured wrist
sutures on my legs
scar on my face

I had full gear except jeans. The helmet held the bang but became oval.
Took me a day or 2 to start figuring out what was going on but now i feel ok and ready to ride lol

My shoulder will need fixation with an internal metal plate which will keep me out of the scene for a month.
Some follow up with MRI brain for the head injury

Here are some pics

Overall I feel like lucky I am still here to tell u about it. Bikes come and go but we only have one sheet of flesh!

The bike is totalled. Time for a breath of fresh air. My biggest question is either an 07 R6 or an 07 600 RR. Help!!!

Good thing you are ok. I would make sure he has insurance. And then I would sue him for negligance, careless driving and pain and suffering. For like 100,000 dollars. People like that shouldn't even be driving. Think of how much time you lose for work, school, your medical and not too mention your losses of your bike.

Oh society these days. I can see how one would want to sue, but when you think about it - it was an accident. I flipped my Jeep Wrangler (not my fault) a few years back and had to get flown into Atlanta by helicopter. - Not cheap. The guys insurance payed for everything which was great. I could have easily gotten more money, but things happen and I wasn't bitter. I was attached to that car as well as it having sentimental value.

Glad your ok, but don't sue. The whole thing may have been his fault, but there are things you could have done to prevented said accident. But if it was going to happen, it was going to happen. Glad you're alright. I'd say go with the RR.

i would have to agree. as long as ur medical bills are covered, and your bike replaces you should leave it at that. it was a stupid move on his part, but we have all made mistakes. i hate when other drivers do stupids things, but i know i have done stupids things before to... i just wish they would take licenses away from some old people. they are way scarier than teenagers.... Anyways I'm glad you are ok, and it hasnt turn you away from riding. Recover quickly, and definitely get a 07 black/red RR

ps - are you the same guy that has the pics on Ebay for "the bike of the week (more like YEAR)" ?

+1 guys

I am not into sueing the guy. An accident is an accident. I will get money back for the bike and medical stuff and thats ok for me.

As for the RR.. i am torn between the blue or the white RR.
