yes you can but tire tends to have a mushroom look not safe in curbs. i have a 180/55/17 tire on my 91 f2 with a 900rr rim had change spacers but works and looks better

 I dunno Spec, I was just voicing my honest opinion about this topic.

  But to each his own.   It is his bike so he can do whatever he wants!

My f2 doesn't even run

Anyone who understands even the basic fundamentals of any bike should know that the biggest, fattest, widest, most low profile tire isn't necesarily the best tire for a bike.




Isn't the real issue the (possibly) limited size choices you have for high-performance tires?

ie, Dunlop's Sportmax GP  or D208GP race tire only comes in 180 (or 190) for the rear.

(as far as I can tell from their OFFICIAL site... the Dunlop Racing tire lists a 160, so they're contradicting)
