So my buddy and I are going to head down to our local stadium that every week sets up an 1/8th miles track where you can legally race.  We are at a loss as to who is faster off the line.  We both have F4i's with just a yoshi slip on.  The only differences will be in our weights and experience.  He weighs like 170 and I 190 which won't really affect the run at all.  He has been riding for a few years and I since August.  I ride almost everyday and he rides  once a week.

I have some questions about the launch:
Do you want to sit all the way up to your tank to prevent the front wheel from lifting or slide all the way back?
What RPM's should you hover at and halfway release the clutch?  4k or like 9k?
Do you pop the clutch and then rip on the throttle?

I think if I have these questions answered I can pull away the victor.

lean over the tank just get low on it.

from what ive heard 5-9 k should be a good launch and ride the clutch til you are outta first if you pop the clutch you will come up and won t have traction or steering and also dont shift at redline seeing you lose power the closer you get to it.
