dude im done with this thread, i think tahoe you should delete this thread cause this man does not want to listen to anythign. dont ask for advice then come back asking for more having not listened to a word of it. heres the last bit. stop being a puss, you arent going to loop a stock f4i in 2nd gear if youre still wondering how to get the wheel off the ground, chances are youve never been higher than 2 feet. go practice.

I powered wheelies for years and just recently started clutching stand ups. I think its comes up much smoother than powering it up by preloading the shocks.. Starting to get into slow stuff now because I think I am getting bored with 50mph highway wheelies at the balance point. Just gets boring going that fast yet going nowhere in the process.

just go 40mph in 2nd gear and clutch it. if it dont work slow back down to 40mph and clutch it more.

ok, im kinda in the same boat. Ive been practicing the hell out of my wheelies and yet i feel like the only thing i am doing is ****ing up my clutch and bike. maybe im doing it wrong. I go about 40 in 2nd then just pull the clutch in blip the gas and pop the clutch out. yet it hardly comes up. i dont want to rev it to 9 or 10k then pop the clutch and have it loop. i have had it come up a few times, ive even tried standing up. my main question is what exactly is involved in "SLIPPING" the clutch. is it diff. than just rev and pop? I have had one decent wheelie, i was in 2nd at about 11k rpms stood up, yanked on the bars while nailing the throttle and it popped right up about 2ft. I set it right down though, i did try that again a few more times and it didnt do it?? Also, I talked to a friend of mine with an R1 and he said he just stays in 2nd or 3rd stands up then nails the throttle and his pops right up. im assuming b/c its a litre bike, more power. Now if I were to change my gearing would it just pop up by getting on the gas in 2nd?? I ask b/c i dont feel real safe clutching it b/c my left hand doesnt have a firm grip on the bar. i have had some close calls when the wheel has come down and my left hand is barely holding on and i almost lost it. Thanks for clearing any of my stupid Sh*t up....... :-)
