My New Custom CF Pipe

bootleg___ -> My New Custom CF Pipe (5/16/2007 10:03:17 PM)

I'm almost done. Can't wait to get rid of the stock pipe. Its a CF shell with a GYTR tip. I still need to rivit the end pieces to the shell, pack it and weld up the piping. I'm hoping to be finished this week. I'm going to make a shorty too. I already have the components. [image]http://www.socalpremier.com/images/chop_shop/CBR_CF_Pipe1.jpg[/image]

axsys -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/16/2007 11:41:47 PM)

ill take one please! you gonna sell these or is it just for yourself?

bootleg___ -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/17/2007 12:16:24 AM)

I'll definately post pics. I'm going to make a few more and sell them pretty cheap. I'm in the parts business for cruisers and my mfg makes the pipes for Yamaha's GYTR line. I'll get them essentially factory direct.

I would love to see the shorty on the bike and then prob interested in a buy

I've pieced together an aluminum pipe today. I'm taking this can to anodize tomorrow. I'm thinking of going with the same color as the grey in the graphics on my bike.

Hey Glocker,

I'll get a shorty together tomorrow. I'm chompin at the bit to see what it'll look like.

Glocker23 -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/18/2007 8:28:18 AM)

I wonder how that would look as a high mount and since it is short, I wonder if you could retain the stock pegs...hmmmmm

bootleg___ -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/18/2007 12:14:09 PM)

Good idea. I'll see if I can figure something out this weekend.

pitsvtec -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/18/2007 12:34:14 PM)

Nice...

Glocker23 -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/18/2007 1:08:38 PM)

sweetness.  I know it is hard to find a high mount that allows us to keep the factory pegs.  believe me, I have been looking

axsys -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/18/2007 6:21:15 PM)

dude, freakin sweet! cant wait to see more!

ride_002000 -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/19/2007 12:16:30 PM)

How much do you plan on selling them for, I may be interested.

bootleg___ -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/19/2007 12:42:47 PM)

Hey Ride,

I'm not too sure on price yet. They will be the cheapest on the market though and as quality as any pipe on the market if not more.

*And moderators, I'm not trying to make money off the forum. I was just showing what I'm making. If I do sell some pipes as a result of the forum, I will donate. Its only right.*

bootleg___ -> RE: My New Custom CF Pipe (5/19/2007 1:03:55 PM)

Hey Everyone,

We fabbed up our first pipe with an aluminum can. It sounds awesome. I can't compare it to anything right now since I haven't heard any other F4i's with and aftermarket pipe. The video doesn't do it justice. The angle is a bit much but this is just the prototype and can be easily fixed. What do you guys think of the angle? I kinda dig it. Anyway, I'll be getting the can anodized and the pipe polished next week. We will be working with my mfg to start making 1 piece midpipes for us next week. Sunday we will work on a shorty as well as high mounts.
