Finally finished my paint job. Now I know why custom paint jobs cost so much...the prep takes alot of time and patience. I primed with rattle-can, but sprayed w/ HOK Oriental Blue. Total cost of job < $100.00!

Still working on the polish and decals...

For that price it's great just for the experience.

Good job!

Looks like an aftermarket Cheetah Racing fiberglass tail piece.  If it is, it's the stock seat and the new tail goes on over it.

OneRedRider, u dont have to remove the old paint u just need to remove the clear coat. if you would like to remove the old paint u will just continue sanding. u just want to use a fine grit wet sand paper like 800 and work ur wait up to 2000 so it is completely smooth. removing the base coat is not necesary when preping for paint. u just need to remove the clear coat because the new base coat will not stick to the clear coat but it will stick to the base coat from the previous paint job. also if ur lookin for a tank pad/protector click here: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=cbr+tank+pads&category0=
