I trying to change my enginm oil on my 2005 CBR1000RR.

Where i think the oil filter is. Looks as if its cooled my the cooling system.
1. If i remove the bolts wher i think the oil filter is is coolant going to all come out?
2. Do i have to remove any of the exhaust system?

Its my first

There is no bolts holding the filter. It is a external filter on the right side. Remove the right side lower fairing and you should see it. You should also see the drain plug to.

Well, I have a 2006 and the oil filter is on the right side of what I think your looking at.  It's very identitifable as an oil filter since there is no cover on it.

I am not trying to come off like a smart a$$, but have you gone through your owner's manual that comes with the bike? It is located in the rear seat compartment. It also comes with some tools for the bike. I know wolfpack is being funny, but there is some truth to his humor. If you want to save money, time, and energy, at least become familiar with your "free" manual. No one's gonna test you on it, but it sure is helpful.

I just changed my oil about 300 miles ago.  I went to FULL synthetic.  Castrol R4.  I love it.
