guess its time to update my thread, the bikes already totalled, it was actually totalled on june 11th only 5 or so days after i bought it

kid that had just turned 18 and gotten his license w/ out drivers ed or n e thing, decided he had time to make a left turn in front of me, he was wrong, and its not like he just didnt see me because the black suv on my left had to swerve to avoid getting hit as well, i wasnt so lucky, i wasnt in the best ridin position because the suv was hiding me, but one of the things we learned in msf was to come out of intersections next to a car, for protection, well, my protection swerved and by the time i saw the car it was sideways in front of me, it was a lil bit past the intersection when it  happened, far enough for me to be going about 35 mph w/ out accel hard at all, by the time i saw the car it was too late, i only left a 3 ft skid mark, the suv had kinda hindered my vision i guess, or maybe i just didnt pay enough attention, im not gonna pretend im an experienced rider or n e thing, i was still takin it easy, i hit the front right wheel of his lil 4 door accord, my knee his the car and that was all, then i landed on the ground on the other side of it which bruised my back up some, not to bad though, the witness said i flipped head over heels so i wish it somehow couldve been caught on tape, had my helmet on, it was cracked and scraped up pretty bad, got a minor concussion that was all

i tore everything there was to tear in my right knee, acl, lcl, meniscus, all the stuff everyoen knows about, and then the dr said my knee had to have fully dislocated and in the process ripped everything else around it

i went into surgery the 27th of june and im still just makin my slow recovery, im not suppose to put weight on it for about 4 more weeks, then he said i could be walkin about 2 or 3 weeks after i start puttin weight on it

Ouch Man! Sorry to see your bike go so fast. Gotta watch out for those left turns. Even 3 days ago i pulled out of my bank and was heading down the street and hit an intersection where the green light doesn't have an arrow and the left turner has to yield. Well sure enough he turns in front of me. I slid to about 3 feet into the intersection before i stopped. And of course he stopped right in my way. They alway panic and stop right in front of you. I just waved and smiled but I was really thinking. Grrrrrr. So after you get your insurance money are you gonna get another bike or are you gonna just stick to the fast cars?

fast cars, im gonna have another bike sometime, but probably cant make it happen until im out of college, i do still have the trans am though, im thinkin after insurance money comes in i can play w/ it some, thinkin i can hit around 425 hp pretty easily, head/cam swap, have to put 4.10's in it and some beefy tires, then the f-body rear ends are known for failing pretty soon after puttin sticky tires on and actually catchin traction, i could probably end up w/ another used bike w/ all the money ill be spendin on the car, but im not sure im ready for the bike so soon, not because im scared to get back on it, but because i have to think about more than just me and dont want my parents going through any thing like this again, or my brother, ive managed to ruin summer for all of them along w/ myself and were just lucky its only for such a short amt of time

yea, i went back to the scene and saw the skid mark, right around 3 ft, i dont actually remember hitting the brakes, i woke up in the hospital thinking i had one of those bad dreams, the kind where you wake up right before the bad part happens, i woke up thinkin man i was about to hit a car, and i told my lil bro that who happened to be standin over me, he was just like "justin, that wasnt a dream, your in the hospital" that happened about 7 hours or so after the wreck, and i have no idea what happened in between, its kinda wierd, i want to know how it all went

i neverlooked that close at the pic, it was my mom adjustin the pillows i guess, that was the night of the accident, and i was so doped up on the pain killers i dont remember that night or the next day really, i dont like the pain killers to much, they affect me a lot and i cant stand not feeling like myself, of course, its a good trade off when the other option is sittin there grimacing in pain all night, so i cant complain

yea, im gonna sue, im not sure exactly how to go about doin it, not somethin ive ever had to think about, i am gonna try but i dont expect too much, i have 4 witnesses sayin its all the other kids fault and i was doin nothin wrong, so its an easy win, but i have a good feeling there isnt too much we can get from the kid, he's 18 so his parents cant be held responsible, he didnt have a car or insurance, so im thinkin he doesnt have a whole lot to give me if i won the suit...he was borrowing a car that happened to have insurance so i got lucky on that
