Hey all, new member here with an '04 CBR1000rr. It's my second bike with my first being an '03 CBR600F4i. I bought the new one at a dealership and they were unsure as to what kind of sprockets it has. I know it has some sort of sprockets since the speedometer is WAY off. My question is can I recalibrate the speedometer to accomodate for the aftermarket gearing? Also, can someone tell me how many teeth stock sprockets have so i can figure out what's on the bike? Finally, if there's no way to change the speedo, is anyone willing to trade me their stock sprockets for my aftermarket ones? Thanks alot and i look forward to your responses!

You can check the size of the sprocket by counting the teeth, or they have it printed on the side of them.  The front sprocket will take you a few bolts to access but it's not difficult.  I'm not sure of the stock gearing but I am sure that you can find it on here.  In order to make the speedo healer work I'm pretty sure you have to know how many teeth are on the front and rear sprocket.  From what I've heard the speedo healer just connects into your wiring harness, although I've never put one in.  Good luck!

Welcome to the site...and +1 on the speedohealer...it plugs in to your gauges (i think it''s the gauge harness, i forget)...and corrects the speedo...you need to figure out how much you are off before using it though..you can do it a couple of ways but best is using a GPS to compare your speedo speed to actual (GPS) speed and calculating the offset...

many of us here have done gearing changes and have a speedohealer to correct for it, very common
