Anyone gone across the Cheaspeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel on their bike.  Thinking about doing this some weekend.  I live in central PA thinking about going down through VA across the bay and back up through DL.  Maps.com says almost 7 hours just to get to the entry point in VA.  Just wanted to see is anyone has been there and is it worth the trip also any good things to see while there?

Oops... didn't see this until now   So did you even go over the bridge?

I went over it last year in my big roadtrip. Even though I was at the NC/TN  border and later planned on heading farther west, I went all the way to VA Beach just to go over the Cheseapeake Bay Bridge & Tunnel.  I have a weird thing for cool bridges... don't ask, LOL.  I enjoyed it though!  $12.00 to go across, but save your reciept and it's only $5.00 going back across the other way.  I stopped at the first pier/rest area thingy and took a walk out on the pier, where you can get a really good view of the bridge from the side

The next little "island" in the background is the continuation of the bridge, connected to the one I'm standing on by an underwater mile long tunnel right underneath where that big boat is about to go over. Pretty cool to ride through!
