What's goin' on guys? Nice to finally be able to say I own a bike. I've wanted a bike since as far back as I can remember. My girlfriend and I just bought an '04 CBR 600RR that we both love so far and glad we got it. I'll post some pics of it here in a bit. Looking forward to lots of great new experiences.

Pic 5: During day 2 my buddy comes over to demonstrate the basics. He did the right thing and yelled at me for cleaning the tires and wiped them down a little... but not enough. He's never dropped a bike and it wasn't really his fault... the rear tire still came out from under him. DO NOT ARMORALL YOUR TIRES! I know... an idiot could've told me that. He ended up with some minor road rash but he was ok. Oh well, that's why we bought one with jacked up plastics anyway. Plus it came with a brand new set that we can still put on.

Welcome to the site Omega. Have the two of you thought about taking the riding course together?
Congrats on the new bike. And remember to ride within your limits. This is one sport that you don't want to rush the learning process.

Thanks guys for the welcome. Glad you like the bike. Back to what you said EPN, We've actually both already paid for the class and we're going on the 28th... just next week and I can't wait. :)

My girlfriend is looking for some other female riders and I noticed there's a female forum here. I'm going to try and get her to join.

Hello & Welcome!!

Nice bike!!!

Thanks again, and btw I noticed your little avatar. I saw a ducatti with those same exact skin girls on it about a year ago and it looked great. I've wanted them ever since. In case you cared. Lol

Appreciate it. We paid $3,500.00 for it. It's a restored salvage... and I gave serious thought about not getting it because of that but most everything on it is new or we have the new parts and they just aren't on it yet. We figured we'd probably drop it to start with so we didn't want something like an MV Agusta. I do need to replace the fork seals though... I have new ones it's just that I'd rather have someone familiar with working on bikes help me do it so that I don't make any mistakes with something that holds our life in it's hands.

Stay safe serving our country.
