Do any of you guys use a polishing attachement for a cordless drill for polishing the tank/fairings or is this a bit over kill?
How do you tend to polish your bikes???
As the weather is so bad in the UK at the moment, I spend more time cleaning it than riding it.

I wouldn't use a drill for polishing. There unstable to hold onto, and you run the risk of doing more damage than good. If you want to do a good job, try using a orbital buffer like the one here.

Variable speed, easy to control. It won't leave swirl marks in your paint and less risk of burn through if you hit an edge with it. Meguiars has the same model for twice the price, made by Porter Cable for them. Orbital motion is much safer on paint than a rotary type of tool.
