Hey guys... i have been experiencing some things on my bike in the past two weeks that is concerning me. For the past few weeks i have noticed that when switching from first to second sometimes it goes into neutral instead. At first... since i am a new rider... i thought it was me not clicking it up hard enough, but for the past week i have been really focusing on clicking hard but occasionally, maybe twice a ride, it goes into neutral. But my real concern happened today. On a short ride to a friends house i was cruising at a steady rpm in second gear, when the bike when into neutral all by itself. This happened again when i was returning home. Is this something that may occasionally happen or does it sound like the start of a serious transmition problem because if so i would like to take care of it soon, as i bought the 95 from a dealer only a little more than a month ago.... any input would be greatly appreciated

Same here. Every now and then it goes to neutral when changing from 1st to 2nd but it very rarely jumps out by itself.(only happened once)

The gear boxes on some of the F3's (from 1st to 2nd) can be a little notchy, but that's only on the change. If its popping back into neutral by itself, then there are few things that can cause it, eg worn selector, spring etc...but the symptoms will alsocause popping out of any gear & false neutrals, difficulty in changing gears and so on
But I suspect that as a new rider (or new to the F3) that your probably inadvertantly popping it into neutral with your boot. (even without using the clutch, you can pop up & down through the gears). It only takes a gentle tap to send the gear lever south.
The gear lever position can be adjusted very easily to suit your riding style, grab a manual.

i was trying to figure out if it was something that i did that could have made it pop out of second... but i couldnt see that happening because i ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs, to prevent soemthing like that from happening
