Your speedo is probably off atleast 25 mph....... And it isnt an e-penis with most of us. Some of us do know a little about what we are talking about. But if you dont want to listen thats fine, but you can ask anyone who know anything about bikes, thats not something that is going to help your bike. You can probably start expecting to burn plugs and start fouling you mechanics out. But if you are happy with it, more power to you, no one is telling you want to do, just trying to save you, thats all.

This thread gets my vote for *tool of the day* for 1BadCBR07, if for mothing else for his reaction to the people that gave their opinions on an open internet forum.

I hope your neighbors kick your butt repeatedly for being a horrible person to live near.

Exactly where are you topping out your bike at the claimed 173mph?  by the statement that youve gained more top end, means that you have done it atleast 2 times, probably more.  Something tells me its not on a track, so you must be running that speed on public roads?   keep that up, and we wont be able to flame you anymore.  but, Im sure you know as much about safety for yourself, and safety of others on the road as you know about engine tuning.  And Im sure you could explain your way out of jail time also, even it is for manslaughter with a motor vehicle.

Its not the fact that youve done something different that is getting you flamed, its your attitude.  You are clearly unwilling to do research, or think through your decisions, or take advice of poeple that may know a little more than you. Im with TheX you get my vote-  TOOL

Besides, the size of my E penis is just fine, according to the 20+ e whores I with last night.  just like your 20+ friends said your bike sounds great.  as they turned and laughed their asses off as they walked away from you.

Is it a problem that my bike does 173mph?  I weigh 210 so I'm not as small as you other guys...  And I am a tooth down in the front sprocket...  Perhaps my speedo is off?  But that is what it reads...  Go ride someone else's ass..  I'll have pics and a link to a video up soon...

DH

no its not a problem that your bike is capable of a claimed "173 mph" , its the fact that you would attempt to get your bike up to those speeds (more then likely on public roads)

with your bike being -1 up front that will take away from your top end and affect your speedo. giving you an inaccurate reading. you will need a gps unit or speedo helaer to gather an accurate speed.

please do post pics up. hey you have a video even better !.... what about DYNO results, Track slips something other then SOP feeling and your 20 buddies reactions to prove that your "mod" was an effective course of action

bet your jetting is perfect too... I'd be check'n out the "200mph club" !!!!!!!! According to the 20+... that apperantly know as little about how an engine properly functions, as you do... well in this case... "the masses, are asses'' I think some body is setting you up, to take your money, or worse...  Pink slips, anyone??
Pipe manufacturers wouldn't spend, thousands,on each model/year bike... when they could get this hi-po power, from a junk tip...  You say... " the whole powerband..." what you've lost, is tractability, smoothness... w/ no wierd torque curve... I'm betting. I already know you have a wierd HP curve. Bet you can't ride it for crap in the curves, where proper "curves," (torq/HP) mean everything. WFO, really means nothing, unless your a mile'r or 1/4 mile'r...Runs great wide open???, I have spray cans, that do too !!!!!!!! Want some real (proper)power??? get a quality pipe, filter, jet kit dyno time, tuner... and you won't believe the diff.!!!!!
Serriously, read about "exaust revision".... meaning how the exaust gasses exit your engine, and how shapes, length, diam. of all parts of the ex.system affect your HP/torque output and its charecter. Taking into broader consideration... design of engine, intake system, cams,... this is a fascinating subject, w/ lots of info, gleaned by many factorys, racers and hard won experiance of many "backyard tuners", all searching for a "leg up" on the compitition.   "Knowledge' in this case... is a HUGE advantage, and will save engines (blown), $$$$, lost time, down rabbit trails. tickets...embarassment !!!!!!!!
Take it from a "small" guy... 6'4" 270lb...w/ 5 sport bikes over 1000cc !!!!!!!
Did I tell you about ...the first set of "Race cans" I built????...
what a bug f*** !!!!!!!
Free and clean,    Ripp'n

I appreciate the ingenuity and creativeness of your project, but that kinda sounds like poo. Those chrome tips will also spot rust and look terrible within a year from moisture.
Last year when I had the F4i, I was doing some maintenance and pulled off the can to do so, but left the midpipe on. I took it for a quick spin to see if there was any difference - and there was. It sounded like crap, there was no bottom end power at all and throttle response was mushy.

For the love of god, don't buy a really sweet machine and ghetto it up! If you're looking for loud and performance, look into LeoVince, yoshi, Scorpion etc....please!

They are all correct your speedo is way off with the gearing you have chosen and the exhaust doesn't sound all that great in my opinion. By the way we were all out enjoying the fourth as well not bitching about your exhaust all day. If you don't think what you did is a bad idea call honda tech and see what they have to say. HAHAHA damn that would be a funny as hell phone call.

No love... Man come on now...  Actually a Power Commander is on the way as we speak..  I ordered it from my local shop and I'm taking it to houston to throw it on the dyno and get it tuned correctly..  A K&N is also on the way...  We'll see how things go when it all gets put on..  But in the meantime..  It runs good and if I run into any problems it's still under warranty..  An ASE mech installed the system at a certified Muffler Shop....  And the manager of my local Honda shop is a pretty cool guy (dated his daughter in high school) yeah we've had a beer or two together....

Super, cars are different than bikes, so your car ASE tech doesnt know the basics of bikes (in most cases). And its going to be hard for a
PCIII to correct all that. But I am done with this thread, I am not going to keep saying the same thing over and over again
