Thanks... Got one of those fancy turn signal, running lights...stop light LED's installed...that split and change color when you turn. People driving home tonight were freaking out when I passed them and used that thing. I think they thought I was a cop...as they all slowed waaaayyy down...and I was doing 65...in a 65. Need one on the front...and just clear roads... The seat is the only thing left...and I ave a surprise on that one... Pics tomorrow....

Still have some little odds and ends to do. A bit of paint on the license plate holder..final trim on the foam seat...etc. But...the split LED, which for some reason at night makes people slow down, way down, after I pass them. Must think it's some sort of police vehicle...I guess. Have no idea, but like it. I didn't incorporate the signal into the tail because I didn't want to cut holes in a beautiful piece of bodywork and my bike will pretty soon become just a Track Day bike. So the plate and things will get taken off anyway. Have a kind of quick disconnect system under the tail section in the subframe. Not drilling holes in my bodywork for "the man" anyway. (Screw taping crap off...lol...) The seat is short at the front so I can still access the tank bolt if needed. I may re-cut a final piece of dense foam and then cut a round hole...maybe. Not a big deal for me, and it just feels right to me. Thumbnail Image

not trying to speak for him, but most race foam is double sided taped on. some have used glue.

ORIGINAL: AK47 I meant the actual install of the tail...does it just snap on? do you have to mod your frame? what? Sorry so late getting back to your post...but I don't actually live on the internet. Get on the web about once every 10-14 days. Anyhoo... The Opps Racing tail was very very easy to install. The places for drilling the holes are already pre-formed for you and whatever bike you order a tail for. Took me about 70 minutes to totally install it. Due to the recent rain storms and getting caught out, and now my bike beig filthy, I am going to be cleaning and touching up the race tail section tomorrow. Still have some fine touch ups to do to the plastic I had to cut away from the stock rear fender,. While I have the thing apart, I will take some pics of how, what, when, I installed it. I'll update this post some time this weekend. Meanwhile, here are a coupla' more pics. In the mean time, if I had to recommend an aftermarket bodywork company I'd have to recommend Opps. Quality stuff. The seat you see is just temporary...something else I am going to finalize tomorrow. Thumbnail Image
