I've had mine up to 187 on the Hwy, I-71 in Louisville, Ky. the cops don't even chase you if they know they can't catch ya!  Hell they can't chase what they can't see!!!

286 km/h (that works out to 178 mph) ONCE with my 929RR being all stock - sprockets, ecu, engine, exhaust and tyres. It was going up still but veeeery slow and I saw a van about 1-1.5 miles upfront so I hit the brakes (I don't take stupid risks). Now I changed my back tyre 190/50 to 190/55 and fastest I could get from it is 264 km/h (about 165 mph), so I guess tyre size matters alot. Or maybe I was lucky with the wind the first time.

i just got through reading that whole thread and i have to say it's been one of the most sobering experiences i've had recently.  makes me really think about some of the dumb shit i've done and realize that i need to back off and just enjoy riding, and realize that i don't have to pull wheelies and hit triple digits to have fun (i don't make a habit of speeding, but i have gone out on Hwy 82/62 east of town here and hit 150+ recently).  it's just real eerie that the guy posted a thread about how fast his speedo showed, and then apparantly later that night he died doing the same thing.  everyone be careful, the racetrack and dragstrip are the places to go fast, not public roads with other motorists.
