i have an 07600rr and im new with it so i asked a few buddies who have bikes what should i wax on mine and they told me everything other then the obvious, (seat, grips, etc.)  so i waxed the frame and some of the flat black plastic under the gas tank and now i cant get some of the white from the wax off.  is there a key to getting that off??  someone told me maybe hot water but i havnt tried it yet.  any info would be cool.  thanks.

qtips or toothbrush, something like that will get into most places to get rid of the white.

+1 on the Honda products.

the only thing that will remove the wax resideu is peanut butter or peanut oil. i am a 12+year auto detailer and keep this at work for such occurances.

peanut oil-- smear a little on the area, leave it for a few minutes, then wipe off. then rewipe wiht a clean damp rag with water.

peanut oil-- on a rag, pour a small ammount (just to wet the towel with the oil), and wipe the area(s) real good. leave damp (with the peanut oil for a few minutes), then wipe off. follow this by wiping with a damp cloth.

peanut oil will be easier to work with than peanut butter, but they will both work the same.

the oils in the peanuts will remove the wax residue.

if you go to most any auto detailing forums, they will tell you the same thing.

Wanted to also note that turtle wax has a new synthetic polish called ICE.  It is amazing amazing stuff, super killer shine almost looks like a new clearcoat, and zero residue or white stuff because of its synthetic compound.  Give it a try, I have tried everything, and nothing else even comes close, including meguiars...

try a product called Black Pearl (thats the brand name). i use 2 coats of the polish, followed by 2 coats of the paint sealant. at 35.00 a bottle, this stuff is the best.
