I have an alarm for the whole place..but if just looking for something cheap....Radio Shack...under $100, motion sensor and even will call your cell or whomever you want...nice load alarm with battery backup. A nice fix I use for the office. Also can get a webcam that is motion sensing too, so if someone has the balls to break in and still take it with the alramm going off...your have a nice vid of who did it.

I know what you mean about wanting a alarm for your bike in the garage, so I went out and got the best alarm money can buy($750.00), Its top-of-the-line, German. Check out my picture and you will see it, dare you to try it out!

my brother went with the same alarm you have arkas... those dogs are nuts. He lives in an apartment above his garage, a really tall garage that's normal the height of about a floor and a half. My dad was over talking to him a few weeks back out by his garage door. Shadow (the Shepard) kept barking because he wanted down to see what was going on, but they ignored him. He finally stopped barking... and a minute later he walked up to them... WTF, the house was locked up. He jumped out of a partially open window my brother left cracked. He used his head to left it open enough to jump down nearly three floors to a grass yard... and he walked up to them like it was nothing.

for those of you who do not feel german shepards will not be useful as an alarm, or protection for your kids.... check out this video. http://www.big-boys.com/articles/policedog.html
