Yea, I'm looking for used bikes. But after I saw that brand new bike for $3700, the green lights have been flashing. It's also hard to find a used gt250r, which is looking to be my best choice.

I just called a dealership here in Virginia who sells Hyosungs. We talked for about 10 minutes and it seems like a nice dealership and a cool guy. He gave a really positive review of them. He said they look even better in person than in the pictures. He also said he is thinking about getting the 650 for himself. But he said he can get pretty much any color in a short amount of time. I'm starting to get really excited. Just thought I would share.

I was thinking that too, but I don't know. I'll have to see what happens when I pay him a visit.

It seems like the more research I do on these bikes, the more appealing they become. The yellow one looks amazing.

That was some great information. I didn't read about any of those problems before. I appreciate the heads up.

Why is is that everyone I talk to says that I will get tired of a 250 after a week or a month? I went to a dealership and asked about starting on a 250 and they recommended a 500 because I would get bored so quickly.

Cause pretty much everybody upgrades.   Dont know why they would say that since they need to sell bikes to feed themselves, guess higher price more money for them.

Wish you were around me, I'd let you ride my Ninja 250.   I enjoy it, especially when I put new tires on it.

Pretty much everyone a dealer sees goes straight to a 600cc cause they're "cool / my friend has one of those /  anything less than a 600 is slow / blah blah blah.

You get what you want.

I love it when someone that has never owned a ninja 250 says the resale value sucks on them.  HAhahahaha.    You can ride it for a year and turn around and sell it for $200 less than what you payed for it.

Made up your mind yet??

If you get a hyo.  Get the '07.  Believe they corrected some of the problems with the engine blowing up.

The dealer makes more money on a 500 than a 250... they'd sell you a 1400 if they could.

No, I haven't made up my mind yet. But I did just pass the MSF course yesterday so now I have my endorsement which I'm pretty happy about. I don't think I've ever had so much fun in my life. I didn't think it was possible to have that much fun in a parking lot. But, I'm going to try and set up a test ride sometime this summer.

I did get a chance to test ride the bike, and boy was I suprised. First of all, it looks even better in person than it does in the pictures. It was an black  '08 so it had the black frame and wheels too. But, the ride was extremely smooth. We went on about a 10 minute cruise around the local area, took it on the main strip for a little bit but mostly stuck to back roads. I felt completely comfortable on it. My friend who has been riding for 2-3 years said that it was extremely smooth, and comfortable too. I think that this is going to be a highly demanded back in the next few years. I've never seen anything like when it comes to 250s.
