ORIGINAL: RCR Verbiage. It all means the same thing. quickly disengaging the clutch to let the rpms rise. I kinda disagree... Slipping the clutch... = bike is under power, clutch is out / engaged... you accelerate, then slip (disengage / reengage) the clutch to wheelie. Popping the clutch... ie "dumping the clutch" = clutch is pulled in / disengaged... you then crack the throttle and disengage the clutch. The first is more common for street riding, the second for stunting. I know... I just learned the second. =) http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.myvideos those videos are not the best example, since i did not ride them at the bp point...

Why the second opion? slower starting speeds? i think i am to scared to just rev it up and dump it method. I like the rhythm of accelerating and just slipping the clutch in. Is there a down side to this other then you can''t do it going as slow?

I can power wheelies up in 1st but that gets me to the redline before the bp some times I can start with lower rpm if I just let go off the gas and roll on hard again so I started clutching it in 2nd and it''s def better I can ride the wheelie for longer and the throttle is not as touchy as the first the first thing I noticed was the diffrence in engine braking the front end won''t come down instantly as the 1st gear when I shut off the gas but only a few times and I got used to that my problem now is some times I just seem to clutch it up fine tho I think it doesn''t jump up that high but I get it higher with gas and then ride it and some times when I try to clutch it it just lurks foreward or just jumps so low that I can''t get it up with any amount of gas it just keeps going straight foreward really fast I''m not sure what I''m doing wrong both times they sound the same tho when it comes up right it sound a bit faster voom vs voooom if you know what I mean
