So I got a CLUTCH KIT from DP that is complete with fibers, springs and Barnett steel plates. Is there any other part I need to replace? well besides the cover gasket, also is there any other special tools I will need to change the clutch? So far I cant get the big lock nut off. The whole clutch center seems to be moving, as well as there is a stake in it that I cant seem to get out! Please help me if you have done this before

Did you get your clutch together yet?? And I am taking it that you recieved your clutch; right?? Hopefully it is all together now, if not try callin me 877-417-9816

na it not together had to order a tool. so when that come in i will be doing that.

What the heck special tool would ya need to replace the clutch? Did ya order a new basket also? Steels, fibers and springs should only take 1hr max to change out. Be sure to soak the fibers in oil before installing -- some say overnight, I say til they're good and oily.

I would agree, the clutch replacement doesn't need any thing special...just remove the bolts that hold the springs, take off the pressure plate and pay attention to how it came out so you can put it back in the same way with the new parts....as Chain said, soak the fibers before you install them and make sure you remove the old gasket material and install a new gasket.
