It's going to be a beautiful night...a balmy 67 degrees  and perfect for biiiiiiiiike niiiiiiiiiiight! The usual culinary items (latte, hot chocy, frappe, fruit, muffins, cookies, sandwiches, burgers, fries, shakes, salsa, etc.) await your palate so come on out and mingle with like-minded hobbyists

Don't forget, the chaps from SuperBikes will be on-scene this evening and filming starts promptly at 8 pm.

Time: 8 pm - 11:30 pm

Location: 120th & Crenshaw Starbucks (105 Fwy to Crenshaw exit)

We had a great turnout last week, and I suspect tonight will be a little more exciting. Hope to see you there!

PICS FROM LAST WEEK

No, we don't have problems with the police because we've worked very hard to foster a positive relationship with the local business and law enforcement.  Heck, the last time the cops rolled through, it was because we called them to come snatch up some rowdy transient throwing chairs in Starbucks.  They're a great bunch of guys/gals and they stop in to have coffee with us once in awhile.  Besides, we have many law enforcement (federal, state, and local) in our riding group, so we're cool.  If anyone shows up and starts acting the fool (stunting, burnouts, etc.), they get "mentored" not to do it in our spot.  Take that *ish* somewhere else.

Wow...last night was insane...a great night, but insane. As expected, we had quite a turnout with a LOT of new faces (word travels as far away as the IE  ). SuperBikes crew was on scene doing roving interviews and filming the bikes, from the most hopped up to the most stock. Had a great DJ (way to go, Porsche!), all the coffee machines were working at Starbucks  and everything was going smoothly...until the Lone Burner showed up. Yeahhppp....the one person that can seriously foog things up for everyone, and that's exactly what happened. I guess he didn't get the memo about respecting the spot. Fortunately, we count many law enforcement individuals as bike night/WCPA members, plus we've spent a lot of time cultivating a positive relationship with the Sheriff and Hawthorne PD, so the misunderstanding was cleared up. Hawthorne Bike Night will resume normal operations next Wednesday, same bat time, same bat channel.

Unfortunately, all that diplomacy came a bit too late to salvage the primary location for last night, so we had to regroup at an alternate location to finish socializing and filming. You got it...we just found another Starbucks  We're coffee/latte/frappe-holics!

All I can say is....wow....and I'm not talking World of Warcraft either.   Even the Harley (it's not what you ride, it's that you ride) crowd came to enjoy the evening with us, and it was an interesting mix of Japanese, Italian, and good old American steel that came together for a great bike night!

That said, we'll be forming up @ the Hawthorne Bike Night spot (120th & Crenshaw) at 10 am on Saturday for the ride to the SuperBikes studios. We've notified Hawthorne PD that a large(r) crowd will be on scene (we usually meet up on Saturdays @ noon to go for group rides down PCH or wherever the wind takes us) so we're covered. All we ask is that folks police themselves and each other so that this ride can be enjoyed by everyone, from the noob to the seasoned street rider. Safety and communication.

For those that came out and portrayed the biker community in a positive light, a big THANKS! We'll see you on Saturday or next Wednesday!
