sorry guys but i gotta bump this thread back up to the top in hope for some responses. my friend told me that i was all wrong in thinking that i could polish my frame with liquid compound only. he told me that i needed to sand it smooth (starting with course paper and gradually work my way to a finer grit paper) then i can use the polish to give it a mirror like shine. i know that there are some people out there that have done this or know someone who has. any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. its cold here and time to start cleaning the beast.

sorry... can't help you here. I like the brushed or dull finish. Mirror or chrome belongs in the garage.
