Hello there guys !!! My name is Andrei and I am new to this forum. I am thinking of buying an 07 CBR 1000RR Repsol edition. The guys at the local dealership told me that the best price they can give me is $13.500 OTD. And that is because is a limited edition an only a small number of them have been built. Did any of you buy recently an 07 CBR 1000RR Repsol Ed.? If yes, can you tell me what you paid for it? And if not, do you have any idea what the price is on this nice toys, cause I think I am just about to be ripped off. Thank you much for your time guys and I really apreciate your help with this matter.

I'm no expert, but that seems a little high to me. You should stop to consider that Honda's MSRP fo the Repsol is only $11'999. Another fact to consider is that there should be an all new 1000RR for 2008 making a 2007 "less desirable" if you believe in such things. (personally I don't, seeing as how I bought an '06 600RR, knowing full well there would be an all new '07) I guess the final two things I would want to know is: 1st. What do they mean by out the door? 2nd. How much do they want for the other colors?

na - way to much.. isnt a repsol edition just a paint job? i think it's only $100 more to have it.. i might be wrong tho.. But i would say max OTD is like $11,500 but i know you can find better deals.. http://www.cbrforum.com/m_337936/tm.htm ^^ look at his post - i cant vouch for him but if you are near there, maybe do a road trip or something... but dont get screwed, trust me - dealers are just sharks out there, trying to get the biggest bite. i told the dealer up in Idaho to "F himself" when he said "Sorry we dont budge from MSRP" on a 06' CBR1000RR (this was when the 07's were just about to come out).. i went back down to vegas and got the bike for $9,100 cash and i still got the guys by the balls because they didnt give me the right VIN (i put a $200 despoit on a VIN bike and they sold it) so they been discounting anything i need. but you know they still made a profit off me. so if they dont budge from MSRP OTD then give them the finger because they are playing you like a fool.. it takes 5 days for them to get another replacement bike from Honda - so it's not like they are selling like hotcakes, they just want you to think they are.. good luck and do alittle bit more research before you go back the dealership - Work them, dont let them work you..

Thats a retail deal, so its not a very good one. Dealership I work for charges $500 more for the Repsol.

Everything I saw showed +500 for that color. I too just bought a 2006 blu/yellow leftover, OTD $8960. Consider your re-sale price, if you wanted to sell in a couple years you'll be competing with many guys like me who bought their bike for under $9k. I might sell for $6500 while you'll be spinning your wheels trying to get $11,000. My local dealer was a rip too. Search a larger area ~200mi, bet you'll do much better. Edit: This forum 06 RR for sale, owner owes over $11k...

Yeah, way over priced. Have seen two at seperate dealerships near me going for retail, $11,9xx a few months ago. Don't pay over retail for one. If they refuse to budge, just get a plain '07 1000RR. It's the exact same bike. Only difference is the frame/swingarm color and body colors.

First off if you don't know what " out the door " means then you must be a tard or haven't purchased anything at all. Or you are just a kid. $13k OTD is about right on a 07 Repsol. TTT adds about another grand for a bike that is over $10k. And dealers add freight and assembly also. That's an average price for a repsol. Yes you can buy kits but they are not the same as from the factory. If you do try to purchase the exact same peices they are expensive. The same part that cost a $100 will now cost you $500. It's a race replica, no other manufactuer is coming out with any, which I think is a desirable thing. The chances of an american winning a moto gp world championship again is pretty remote. You also get signature decals from Nicky Hayden so you know its the real thing. That comes later and from Nicky Hayden and Honda, not from the dealer. It's worth more than a regular cbr 1k. It depends on how much of a fan you really are to get one. They are limited. If you think that price is a rip, you should see the rediculous price the moron at my local dealership put on a Repsol. $19k. Stupid idiot couldn't sell any so he had to reduce the price to $16k. Sold one to a moron and the rest remained. So months later he reduces it again to $14k. Still sitting there collecting dust. They are a race looking replica, that's looking, which looks cool, but there are no performance differences to really make this a one of a kind. So don't pay to much for it unless you really must have it. Honda will come out with another repsol edition which will look more like their RC212V bike. This one has cool colors and looks slighty better than the previous version. What they need to do is come out with one with performance upgrades already on the bike. Like what yamaha did with their 50th anniversary bike. That was close to $19k. All the manufactuers need to come out with race replicas with a perfomance advantage and they really need to look like the ones the race teams have. With the logos already on. And it should only be a $1k over the regular version. When they start charging thousands above that is rediculous. A 50th anniversary yamaha R1 that sold for almost $19k was for sale at $9k. Not much resale value.

See, I don't buy that. I've seen several Repsols priced lower than $12K OTD. It is definitely worth more than a regular 1000rr, but $13.5K is definitely a rip-off. I think it's all dependant on the dealership, my local dealer prices a decent amount lower than MSRP on all their bikes, but they do a good amount of business. The price is up to the dealer, but that doesn't mean that they have the right to hose their customers.
