I say Honda Oil is best. Why? Because it came factory fill in our bikes. Formulated for use in our engines and wet clutch by Honda.... Thats why

I agree with this idea. Although...it all depends on how you use your machine. I enjoy using and abusing anything motorized which I own, so I belive in giving it the best possible protection from my abuse. I have researched and read all kinds of opinions and tests...I belive AMSOIL is the best out there. Plenty of published experiments prove it for me!

I like Lucas w/ a bit of their conditioner added.  All the bikes I've used it in seem to like it as well. The conditioner really quiets an engine without fouling plugs like most oil additives do, and seems to increase power.  It pepped up an old ZX6 of mine to the point I had to watch my tach on downshifts because I kept skidding the rear wheel with engine braking.

Is it bad to switch brands of Oil? I have heard once you start using brand of oil you should stick with that brand? something about how the oils are different, but i have never heard any one who knows what they are talking about say that. and how about mobil 1 10w30? i have heard something about how car oils are not good for motorcycle clutches (I dont think my 03 has a slipper clutch though so would it matter)

I don't think "car" oil is bad for a bike, or switching oils for that matter.  My used ZX6 was so dirty inside due to a bad vacuum valve in the carb, I ran about three oil changes in the first 400 miles with regular old Pennsoil.  When it quit dirtying up every hundred miles, I switched to the Lucas semi synth oil and the bike loved it.  Perhaps in a perfect race bike situation it wouldn't be the best thing to do...or, you may be talking about mixing oils in the crankcase. (Mobil w/ Pennsoil for example) I only do that if I'm in a pinch.

I stopped being picky about oil, once i read this article about a guy with a 1996 cbr 900 with 150 thousand miles and all he used was castrol GTX car oil at 2 bucks a quart, they are all good, as long as they meet what your owners manual specs, if you are spending more than 10 bucks for some motul or belray crap you are an idiot in my not humble at all opinion. What do you really know about what your bike likes as an oil, they are all good, by the time you move to your next bike the wear and tear is absolutely insignificant, There's nothing wrong with car oil for your bike.

What oil to use doesn't really matter a whole lot.  Just make sure it is for wet clutch motorcycles.  Change the oil and filter every 2,000 - 3,000 miles and the engine will outlast the rest of the bike, so long as the rider isn't abusing it.

Buuuut most of the synthetic oils marked "full synthetic" are actually a very highly refined dino oil.

You can also get about 10 cans of WD40 and spray them fully inside your engine, I would recommend you use the little red straw for this procedure to be easier, and don't forget to check the level afterwards.

Definitely not a good decision.  I have run many brands...  Honda G4, amsoil, belray, motorex, maxima, and now I''m running a semi-synthetic Golden spectro 10/40.

on a couple times, when in a jam, I used car oil and it sucked ass for the clutch and made the bike run hotter.

For my CBR1KF, 929, and 954, they like stock weight and semi sythetic.  I won''t buy full synthetic because I religiously change the oil at the first signs of it being dirty.  My mowers, wheelers, etc.. all get good oil changes from the used oil.
