trying to start WWIII huh?

Most good tires are about the same price and come in at about 30 dollars of each other. I personally like Pilot Powers, "race" on the front, regular on the back.

I'll give the metzelers m3s a recommendation too.  I've tried bridgestone battle axes and dunlop qualifiers, and the metzelers are noticably better in the twisties.  I've heard a lot of good things about the pilots though.

Diablos I think? Maybe it's the bike. I've never had anything that handled this good. (1KRR)

I've had almost every brand of tires on various bikes over the years and I was happy with most of them.  Unless you are riding really hard on the street or track, almost any tire would be more than adequate.  Saying that for a street tire I was very happy with the bridgestone BT0014's, I can get down really low at speed in a tight corner with no slip whatsoever.
All that said, I currently have the new BT002, bridgestones street racing tire and I must say they grip like a mo fo....They heat up very quickly and I can scrape the pegs with no slip at all.  They seem to be lasting a little longer than I expected.
Unless you're in MotoGP, most of the tires on the street will work great for most anyone.
