Anyone heading to Deal's Gap?  Here's the website for the rally: http://www.womenssportbikerally.com/   I'm looking for some folks to ride from Asheville, NC and maybe room with....  sounds like a lot of fun!

I plan to ride from Asheville - hoping to get out of town Friday night, but it might be Saturday morning.  It'll be my first one, so all I know is what's on the website.  Sounds like a blast, though!  Let me know what plans you cook up - mine are pretty flex, don't have a room yet, probably wouldn't turn down a trailer lift, either!

I do have a enclosed trailer that will hold 2 bikes and a jeep to pull it.  How far is it from here?  I work until 630 on fridays but may be able to switch with someone.  It sounds like fun.  I am new to riding.  I have been riding for about 8 months and love it.  My fiance is deployed so I dont have anyone to ride with and would love to meet some other female riders in the area.

Raleigh is about 4 hours from Asheville, and Fontana Village/Deals Gap is about 2 hours (?) from Asheville, but you go through Asheville to get to Deals Gap.  I just found out that I have a mandatory training :( until 5pm that Friday.  If you were trailering up there Friday night, I'd love a lift (but leaving Raleigh @ 7pm sounds rough unless you're a real night owl), and would probably ride myself home on Sunday afternoon.  I haven't checked out the accomodations, really - just assuming I can still get a room or something. I probably ought to get on that!

How long has your husband been deployed?  When do you get to see him again?  My heart is with you!

Well  I am going to try and trade with someone so that I have friday off...but I have to ask around first.  If I can get the day off then I can time it so that I am going through asheville around 5 or 6.  It would definitely help to share the cost.  My fiance has been gone for 5 months and he will be back in September.  I absolutely cannot wait!!  By the way nice bike..how long have you been riding?

You guys are so cute and happy!  I'm sure you are counting the days until September....

I started riding dirtbikes in 2004 and got my first streetbike, a 1971 Triumph Tiger, in 2005.  It had tons of style, but I could never get comfortable on it (though I am very proud of myself for mastering the kickstart thing!) and knew I wanted a better-handling bike, so I got a 250 Ninja last spring and upgraded to my f4i a month ago.  What are you riding?

I have a 05 cbr 600 f4i.  My fiance bought it for me last christmas.  So that is what I learned on.  It took some getting use to ( and a few bumps and bruises)  but I absolutely love it!  Now I am addicted to it.  I am going to ask around and see if I can find somebody to work that friday.  I really want to go the more I think about it!
