Anyone know if my buddy's stock sprockets from his '03 R6 would swap out with my '03600RR? He's thinkin about replacing his stock gears, and his stock gears would be a huge improvement over my stock ones.

Won't work but a complete 520 chain and sprocket kit for your bike shouldn't be more than 180.00 or so and you can get the exact gearing you want.

I doubt it. What's the stock gearing on an R6? 16/48 right? Is he selling you his left overs or giving? You can buy front sprockets for your bike for around $25 shipped from Cals-Sportbike I looked around on eBay and you can find the conversion kits for the RR's and the R6. If a seller on eBay could list one kit that would fit both, they would. But none are listed that way. So I think you're out of luck with the left overs.

Well even if the R6 sprocket would match up, you have to think about the width of the chain. Some are 520 some are 525, some are 530. If you get the wrong prockets or the wrong chain, then it wont be very safe.

PBI - $22 from the dealer even...probably cheaper if shopped and good quality...have a -2 and -1

think some others have ran with them on here also

HUGE difference...thought I needed a 1000RR until dropped to -2
